King of the Hill

This is what my finished UFO project will look like.

This is what it looks like right now....

I got it as a kit from Hobby Lobby last year for my son, Noah. He turns 11 tomorrow. I was so excited when I first got it and thought I would have it done in no time. But maybe it's because it's solid stitching, or that it's mostly dull colors or maybe because I'm hiding it from Noah, I've gotten nowhere! I'm so scared if I don't get it done soon he'll be out of his "I love wolves" stage.

This will be my weekend project and I'm hoping to get it finished this year.

Sherry this is a lovely pattern. It would be tough indeed to keep it secret from anyone you live with, especially an inquiring child. Here's hoping you get some time with it soon!

Very nice design, Sherry. It's going to be beautiful when finished and I'm sure Noah will love it. Can you work on it while he's at school? We'll all do our part cheering you on!

Best of luck with this one. I know someone who had a wolf UFO but managed to finish it this year. I know she would wish you well. Now that hers is framed she is so glad she finished it.

Slow and steady as they say. I know you can do it!

I have a son who thinks wolves are brill. He too would love this. I can understand how you can get a bit bogged down with some colours especially when you can't make out really what you've done. But the exciting bit is watching it develop and then all of a sudden you think wow this is really great. I'm sure your son will be thrilled when you present it to him. I'm looking forward to seeing you progress as I too quite like wolves, but I haven't seen this one. Happy stitching

What a treasure this will be for Noah! I'm sure he'll always be in the "I love wolves" stage for a long time - just 'cause Mama took the time to stitch something special for him. :) One stitch at a time - you'll make it!!!
