I also like doing backstitch as I go so it's not so cumbersome at the end.
I love the windows, they have so much character with such simple lines and stitches. Will there be any fabric showing on the finished design? Just curious.

To answer Elizabeth's question. There will be no fabric showing through. It's one solid lot of stitching.
Wise choice with the backstitching. You're doing better than me with my Michael Powell... love his designs.
