Another TW UFO

Hi,

I read about this blog last on Karen's Blog last night and immediately e-mail Jen for a invite to join. I have several UFOs and the one I chosen to work on first is my oldest. I don't know exactly when I started it but I know it was more than 10 years ago. It is Teresa Wentzler's Peacock Tapestry. I love the design and look forward to one day have it hanging on my DR wall. It became a UFO for 2 reasons:

1. As Shelleen mentioned in her post - it's a TW design - the size, the many colour changes, the blending of threads, the half stitches, and the backstitching can be a bit overwhelming.
and
2. I am always starting new projects and end up having way to many on the go than I actually have time to work on so eventually one or two fall by the wayside.

Here is a photo of my progress to date:

My intention is to work on this UFO one evening a week until it is finished.

Welcome Loretta.
This just a lovely design and I look forward to seeing more progress on it It looks like you are more than halfway there so that is always encouraging.

Guess what your TW UFO is the same as mine. I have done the bit you have yet to do but am only half way up the tail. The border isn't half finished either. I don't know whether to make it my next UFO perhaps watching your progress will spur me on. Best wishes.

TW seems to be in the lead in the UFO depatment so far. Good luck with it, I look forward to seeing your progress as I am sure it weill be gorgeous when finished.

What is it I wonder about TW? My UFO (Carousel Horse) doesn't seem as comlpicated as the peacock although the blends etc. are daunting. I'm coming up to the end of about the second week on this fantastic blog and great in roads have been made into my UFO. I'm sure like so many others you will make super progress. It'll look lovely when hanging on your DR wall. Good luck.

I have a TW UFO too, Companions (the one with the Santa and the horse), and I know what you mean! Maybe I'll just move him into line behind my New Zealand map....I stitched Castle a couple of years ago, with a SAL group. Took a whole year of weekends, but it was finished! Support really does help keep you motivated!
