Slowly, Slowly.

Here's my update. At least there is some progress. Nothing spectacular though. Must be very honest I am not enjoying this. Perhaps it'll get better in a while. I have had my grandchildren to stay so I could say that's why progress is slow but really it's because I'm frustrated with the thread. It's dreadful. The kit says it comes with DMC or ALTERNATIVE. I think I've got the latter as it keeps shedding and looking dull. Still chin up and keep on regardless.

Happy stitching to all you UFO'ers sure your progress will be better than mine.

I dislike the "alternative threads".

Alternative threads are a huge pain in the backside... Dimensions are a nightmare for their threads.

Good luck with your stitching.

Sorry you are not enjoying this because I know only too well what that is like. Perhaps as the clown grosw it will grow on you too. I hope so. Best Wishes

I'm stitching a Dimensions kit and it too is done in alternatives. I've not had your problem yet. I'm sure this will get better once you have done the boring browns.

Do their kits sell for less money if they use an alternative?

It's not nice working on a piece that you're not enjoying. The more I think about it, cross stitch is a labour of love, lol.

Hi Roz, No you don't get them cheaper. I didn't realise that there was a possibily of alternative threads until I opened the packet!!
