I'm Back!!!!

After a year of not stitching on the Peacock Tapestry (Teresa Wentzler), I finally picked it on December 31st and added a few stitches to the left hand border.   I am determined to finish this one in 2012.

This is where I was at after I stopped stitching on it.

This what the section looked like before I began stitching again.

This is what I managed to stitch on New Year's Eve.

Hopefully, I will be back soon with more updates.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiatus over on Peacock Tapestry

I haven`t stitch much on the Peacock since my last last post until my holidays started at the end of July. I am currently working on the trees on the bottom left-hand side of the design.

Hopefully I will be able to post progress pics more regularly from now on.

Another Peacock Tapestry Update

It has been awhile since my last update because for the past month or so I a have been working exclusively on the Kustom Krafts February 1st Mystery SAL and finished it earlier this week. (You can see a picture of it on my blog.)

Last night I picked up the Peacock Tapestry again and have finally added a few more stitches to the piece.

For the next little while I hope to alternate working on this along with the Pamela Kellogg Garden Fantasy Garden Mystery SAL (As you may have noticed, I have a weakness for Mystery SALs).

My brother showed my mother my blog a couple of weeks ago and now she is excited to have me finish the Peacock Tapestry.

Peacock Tapestry Update

I have been working on this off and on all this week, so I thought its about time to post an update.

I am so glad to be working on it again. (And so is my DH.) It is a fussy piece but I know it will be worth it in the end.

Love looking at everyone`s updates. They are looking fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!

Another TW UFO

Hi,

I read about this blog last on Karen's Blog last night and immediately e-mail Jen for a invite to join. I have several UFOs and the one I chosen to work on first is my oldest. I don't know exactly when I started it but I know it was more than 10 years ago. It is Teresa Wentzler's Peacock Tapestry. I love the design and look forward to one day have it hanging on my DR wall. It became a UFO for 2 reasons:

1. As Shelleen mentioned in her post - it's a TW design - the size, the many colour changes, the blending of threads, the half stitches, and the backstitching can be a bit overwhelming.
and
2. I am always starting new projects and end up having way to many on the go than I actually have time to work on so eventually one or two fall by the wayside.

Here is a photo of my progress to date:

My intention is to work on this UFO one evening a week until it is finished.
